A huge thank-you to all our followers who voted for us in the Aviva Community Fund challenge. Thanks to all the support, we were a winner in our category and will receive £1000 towards our trip so St Louis, when we represent SAI Region 31 in International competition!
We would like to thank all our supporters, old and new, and with everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
A fabulously scary time was held by all those who attended the Phoenix Haunted Ball, held at Shortmead House. Here are some pictures of the scene before the haunting began!
Phoenix were very pleased to hand over a cheque to Liz Revell from Myeloma MK, for the money raised for the charity this year. These funds will go to Myeloma UK, to help with their work to find a cure for this condition.
Holding the cheque are Fi, our President, Lynda, our MD, Rose, one of our members and Liz Revell, from Myeloma MK.
Phoenix are delighted to announce that we have accepted our wildcard invitation to represent Sweet Adelines Region 31 at International in St Louis in October 2018! The wildcard was the result of our high score at regional convention in May. We are so excited to begin the next stage of our adventure!
This weekend is the Big One in our annual calendar! We're very excited to be heading back to Gateshead to participate in this year's Sweet Adelines Region 31 convention. For those of you unable to join us in person, the whole competition will be available to view on a webcast. Here is the link you will need: http://sweetadelines.org.uk/convention2017/webcast (if possible please consider making a donation to help cover the cost of the webcast).
We're due on stage on SATURDAY 13th around 12:50 in the chorus competition. Before that, Footlights will be in the quartet competition on FRIDAY 12th around 15:44. Good luck everybody!
